“Chamas de Inspiração” é uma exposição da autoria de Kasia Wrona que resulta primeiramente da vivência forte e assustadora que a artista sentiu durante o incêndio que assolou a Serra de Monchique em 2003. Dessa experiência e da subsequente observação do processo de auto regeneração da vida natural surgiu um conjunto de trabalhos de pintura que a exposição agora apresentada no CCL contextualiza com uma instalação constituída por muitos objectos/ “olhos”. Nesta série de obras a artista expressa a sua interpretação dos elementos primordiais da vida e afirma artísticamente o “parentesco espiritual com a natureza”.
Kasia Wrona terminou os seus estudos na Acade-mia de Belas Artes em Carcóvia, no Departamento Grãfico em Katowice, na Polónia onde se graduou com distinção. Durante a sua carreira tem ganho vários prémios. Actualmente vive e trabalha na costa do oeste do Algarve em Bensafrim, onde pinta, desenha, cria instalações, performances e vídeos. Realizou mais de 60 exposições individuais e colectivas em Portugal, Polónia e Alemanha.
“Flames of Inspiration” is an exhibition by Kasia Wrona resulting primarily from the strong and frightening experience that the artist felt during the fire that devastated Serra de Monchique in 2003. From this experience and the subsequent observation of the self regeneration of natural life, a set of paintings was created. This is contextualised the exhibition in the CCL together with an installation consisting of many objects/ “eyes.” In this series of works the artist expresses her interpretation of the primordial elements of life and affirms artistically the “spiritual kinship with nature.”
Kasia Wrona finished her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, in the Graphic Department in Katowice, Poland, where she graduated with distinction. During her career has won several awards. Currently living and working in the west coast of the Algarve in Bensafrim, where she paints, draws and creates video installations, performances and films. She had more than 60 individual and collective exhibitions in Portugal, Poland and Germany.
